Auto Repair, Maintenance, and Performance Upgrades For Your Mini
Driving a Mini is fun. They’re small, maneuverable, and they have some “zip”. You can easily get around in traffic and it’s almost never a problem to find a parking space. That’s why they say that Mini is “For The Drive”.
When you’re on the hunt for an auto repair shop to take care of your Mini, whether for repairs, maintenance, or even performance upgrades – EurAuto should be at the top of your list. Our ASE Certified mechanics will keep your Mini performing like new.
If you’re a “keep it forever” kind of Mini owner, or if you’re the “lease it and forget it” type, we can custom tailor a maintenance program to meet your needs.
Mini Cooper Factory Recommended Maintenance
Your Mini has what’s called “Condition Based Service”. Basically the car can determine when maintenance is needed by looking at the conditions that the vehicle has been driven in and by sensing the condition of the engine oil. There is no exact mileage interval for Mini maintenance.
That being said, we do find that most of the time the maintenance indicator comes on somewhere around 10,000 miles when using a high quality synthetic oil like the Liqui Moly or Mobil 1 oils that we use at EurAuto Shop.
Every maintenance service is accompanied by a complete multi-point vehicle inspection. We’ll inspect all of your fluids for the proper level and condition. We’ll also inspect your engine air filter, wiper blade, tire condition, and do a visual inspection of the entire vehicle.
In addition, the following is recommended:
- Every other oil change – replace the cabin air filter
- Every 4th oil change – replace the engine air filter
- Every 6th oil change – replace the spark plugs
The CBS system will notify you when your brake fluid is due for replacement.
The transmission in your Mini is considered “sealed for life”. This means the factory does not recommend any maintenance for the transmission. This recommendation has been the cause of many transmission failures and it is a known fact that the Mini transmission must be serviced. We recommend a transmission service every 30,000 miles.
