Imagine how excited we were when given a chance to perform Ford Gen 1 Raptor upgrades.

The First Generation Ford Raptor

First Gen Ford Raptor Performance Upgrades by EurAuto Shop in Plano, TX. Image of a blue Ford F150 Raptor SUV driving on dirt road.It seemed like only yesterday when the first-generation Ford Raptor caused quite a stir across the automotive industry in 2010.

Even though it was more than a decade ago, the first-gen Ford Raptor still features timeless appeal and unmistakable flair that helps it retain insane value. For example, a 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with about 142,000 miles would still cost you around $30,000 in 2022.

It should be no surprise that we were over the moon and enthused when a long-time client of ours came to us for upgrades and auto repair for his valued first-generation Ford Raptor. He wanted Ford Raptor performance upgrades, and we were there for it!

Check out the two Ford Raptor performance upgrades and auto repair we performed to help the client go to the next level.

1. Deaver Leaf Springs

As the first name in high-quality, specialized suspension, Deaver boasts more than 125 years of experience. Deaver had mastered the science behind getting the leaf spring correct. The team at EurAuto Shop regularly performs upgrades and auto repair in Plano, TX with Deaver’s premium products.

Deaver Progressive Series springs are masterfully crafted for dominating off-road performance. The Deaver leaf springs were the perfect performance upgrade after considering the client’s love for off-the-grid camping. These springs are premium quality 9- and 10-leaf units manufactured from high grade 5160 steel made right here in the U.S.

The spring’s unique design and attention to detail create a smoother spring rate curve throughout the suspension cycle. The Deaver Progressive Series spring’s linear and even compression rate curve is the key that unlocks the superior ride.

In addition, Deaver Progressive Series springs feature heavy-duty bolt through retaining clips, helping to ensure everything remains where it should be.

2. Hellwig’s Helper Leaf Springs

With off-the-grid camping in mind, the team at EurAuto Shop also installed Hellwig’s Helper Springs as Ford Raptor performance upgrades.

Helper springs are designed to sit atop the newly installed Deaver Progressive Series leaf springs at the back of the truck. The Helper springs work in conjunction with the spring pack to further increase the load rating of the Ford Raptor up to its gross vehicle weight rating.

With the added support of Helper springs, the additional weight of the client’s off-the-grid tailgate camper will not cause the truck bed to sag. Instead, the Helper springs will help balance and level the truck out.

As a bonus, Helper springs pack a special addition to help reduce excessive noise under load. Thanks to the silent ride bushings that are reinstalled on Hellwig’s Helper springs. Helper springs are adjustable and are available in different load capacities.
